    Motion Graphics Coordinator/Sr. Coord/AP - Evening Shift

    The graphics coordinator handles heavy scheduling, communication, posting and maintains a high level of quality control for the motion graphics department. Candidates must demonstrate an excellent knowledge of industry standard production and finishing processes for high-end motion graphic projects.
    The right individual should be passionate about all aspects of animation, typography and design. They should also be able to take the initiative and manage their own time within a busy agency environment, where deadlines and challenges constantly evolve.  They must possess a friendly demeanor and be able to work well with clients, producers and artists.
    Must be open to a standard shift of 3pm-10pm or later. 

    Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities

    • Manage graphics workflow and meet deadlines.
    • Interface with clients, producers and artists.
    • Schedule and organize projects for offline and finish.
    • Coordinate with various departments to handle all graphics needs to complete daily tasks.
    • Create and execute special projects as assigned or needed.
    • Track production and finishing schedules.
    • Take notes on creative and finishing calls and be able to anticipate staffing needs in advance.
    • Work closely with producers, creative directors, coordinators, artists and editors.
    • Setup finishing sessions with clients and post facilities.
    • Work directly with clients to organize and process production and finishing requests.
    • Post work for clients.
    • QC all work before delivering.
    • Create and send checkers.

    • College graduate with at least one year of relevant work experience. Special consideration will be given to applicants whose work history suggests a genuine interest in commercial production, motion graphics, VFX and/or CG work.
    • Advanced knowledge and experience with the theatrical finishing process and delivery is a huge plus.
    • Must be familiar with theatrical, broadcast and digital/social frame rates and finishing specs.
    • A self-starter who can take small directions and run with them.
    • Meticulous attention to detail and quality control.
    • Exemplary written and oral communication skills.
    • Ability to resolve scheduling issues and meet deadlines. 
    • Ability to listen and ask thoughtful, intelligent questions.
    •  Must be willing to work a 3p – 10p shift and long hours and weekends when needed, as the nature of this industry is not confined to a 9-5 workday
    • Strong knowledge of Excel. Being comfortable with PSD, AE, AI and InDesign is a plus.
    • Must be able to prioritize under a high-stress environment.
    • Meticulous organizational abilities and the ability to multitask.

    Motion Graphics Designer (Freelance OR Full-Time)

    The ideal candidate should be passionate about all aspects of typography and design (strong working knowledge of Maya, Nuke, and Deadline are advantageous skills as well). Candidates must demonstrate an excellent knowledge of industry standard design programs for the creation of high-end motion graphic design projects from sketch to finish. This position requires 3-5 years of work experience in Theatrical Motion Graphics. Candidates with a degree from an accredited art school or university desired, however we believe the appropriate minimum working experience is paramount. Must have a positive can-do attitude, be pro-active, possess strong interpersonal communication skills, be able to take initiative, as well as, manage time within a fast-paced environment where deadlines and challenges constantly evolve. Post-Production experience is a plus!

    Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities

    • 2D and 3D design and animation of motion graphics for multiple Theatrical and Broadcast campaigns including trailers, main title designs, graphics packages, and transitions
    • Design and animation of motion graphics for high-end branded content as well we animated logos
    • Provide pre-production designs for pitching, including style frames, storyboards, and mood boards
    • Adaptation of campaign assets including retouching, logo and artwork preparation, illustrating, coloring, grading, rotoscoping, and tracking footage
    • Re-versioning existing campaigns to ensure that new elements match provided footage and seamlessly compositing together in accordance with creative direction
    • Export and delivering appropriate files to provided specifications
    • General and IT housekeeping of software, plugins, assets, style-guides, and naming convention compliance

    Abilities and Competencies

    • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (primarily After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop, including related plugins)
    • Advanced knowledge of Cinema 4D

    The ideal candidate has substantial experience with Motion Graphic Design for Theatrical and Broadcast properties. Uses tools such as Cinema 4D, After Effects and the Adobe Creative Suite to prepare and finish motion graphics related projects to spec for final delivery; oversees final delivery to client.
    Artists will encounter variety of assignments at different stages. Typical work includes, but not limited to: production changes, VFX, 2D/3D tracking, rotoscoping, and up-resing and cleanup for final delivery.

    Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities
          The ability to absorb creative direction and work with Creative Director, Producers and Art Directors to understand project scope and directives
          Motion graphics production (including but not limited to; organizing comps, compositing, rotoscoping, keying, constructing animated loops, rendering).
          Adaptation of campaign assets – retouching, logo and artwork preparation, illustrating, coloring, grading etc.
          Re-versioning existing campaigns so any new elements match provided footage and seamlessly compositing together in accordance with Creative Direction
          Work with 3D images; Able to create 2D images
          Maintain personal design station for optimal workflow
          Maintain familiarity with emerging technologies and formats pertaining to motion design
          QC/Posting/Transfer to Server
          Troubleshoot and problem solve as necessary
          General and IT housekeeping of software, plugins, assets, style-guides, and naming convention compliance
          Detailed knowledge of theatrical and broadcast formats and language  (i.e.. 4K, 2K, HD, Aspect Ratios, Frame Rates, Action/Title Safe Areas, Center Cut Safe extractions and Various Codecs)
          MUST have minimum of 2 – 4 yrs. Motion Graphic Production experience
          Advanced Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects)
          Comfortable working in a Mac or PC environment
          Must have strong design skills and an eye for typography
          Must be extremely detail oriented and a thorough perfectionist for the QC process
          Candidate must be team player, motivated, organized and able to work within a collaborative environment, while being flexible and adaptable
          Knowledge, or desire to learn high-end 3D programs a plus
